PhD positions in theoretical physics

A PhD position in theoretical physics will be available at the Department of Mathematical Physics of the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

You will work on a project on "Topological Order, Quantum Computation and the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect", funded through a Science Foundation of Ireland Principal Investigator Programme Grant. The principal investigator is Dr. Joost Slingerland.

You should have a degree in physics, mathematics or a related subject and research interests in mathematical physics, theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum information/computation.

The positions are for three years and the start dates are flexible.
The stipend for these positions is 18,500 euro/yr in the first year, and increases by 1,000 euro each year
